Weekly Soul Motion ClassCLASS CURRENTLY ON HIATUS – EMAIL  IF YOU’D LIKE TO SEE IT RETURN IN NOVEMBER

The whole purpose of the class is to drop into an experience that is centered in your body. You have a chance to experience yourself in a safe and nurturing environment, with no need to perform to look good, or to impress anyone.

Designed by Vinn Martí, Soul Motion is a practice of paying attention and waking up, together, to the physical reality of a body in motion, and the spiritual reality of the Presence that moves us. It’s a dance at the crossroads of the vertical drop into self and the horizontal extension toward another. There are no steps to follow, just the whimsical path of endless self discovery – down from the mind’s conversations of past and future into the raw, messy and miraculous event of this body sweating, tensing, opening, living and dying: now. Mindful Movement
Here at the Oasis Healing Arts Centre we really want you to get the most from us and our classes. We believe that excellent teaching doesn’t have to come at a huge price. In the current economic climate, where people regularly visit sites such as Lovemoney.com (http://www.lovemoney.com/) and talk to financial advisers, we don’t
want you to have to worry about how much our classes cost. To be at one with your body, mind and spirit, shouldn’t need to cost the world.

Renewal
A great way to begin your day. You will have access to all the products that John uses each day to stay fit. The class starts on the chi machine. Then work with the Yamuna Body Rolling products. The class is designed to increase circulation, work on the hands and feet and leave you restored and renewed.


Using whatever stretches or body opening processes you find helpful, this is a time to share the day with others, listening to ambient music, doing Authentic Movement, all in a space with minimal facilitation. Open to anyone with a movement practice of any kind or style. If you’re not sure, come and see if it feels right.

Morning Practice
From the Authentic Movement Institute in Berkeley, CA: Authentic Movement is a completely self-directed form in which individuals may discover a movement pathway that offers a bridge between the conscious and the unconscious. Authentic Movement explores the relationship between a mover and a witness, being seen and seeing. With eyes closed, the mover listens inwardly and finds a movement arising from a hidden prompting a cellular impulse. Gradually the invisible becomes visible, the inaudible becomes audible, and explicit form is given to the content of direct experience. The witness brings a receptive quality of clear attention to the mover. The witness is mindful of the inner world of sensation and meaning, judgment and criticism. Though personal shadow issues may emerge, the witness accepts the mover without analysis or direction and speaks only when the mover asks for a response. The mover and witness together can achieve a level of perception of self and other that evokes deep respect and empathy.

Consious Practice
A group sharing that focuses on creative expression and deep dreaming.

Couples Massage
Learn ways to alleviate pain and bring pleasure to your partner.

Conversations that Matter
In this class we take a topic and investigate it together using the newest forms of left and right brain expression.

Films
Watch documentary films and share your insights, questions and awarenesses with a group in a way that promotes deep listening.

Massage
Learn the basic principles of massage. John has been teaching massage for two decades. You will learn how to know how, when and where to touch.

Storytelling
An opportunity to dive deep and learn about yourself using the power of story.

Sound and Movement
What would it be like if you could take the time to dive into your own unique movement and sounding patterns? This is exactly what you will do in this class, without an imposed set of standards of ways you should move or sound.

Internet Marketing
Come learn the basics of what it takes to make money online.

Presence Process
Using the ideas and processes developed by Eckhard Tolle and others, we will practice being present alone and in a relationship.

Voice Weaving
Robin Chilstrom teaches her fun and creative way to find our voices in collaboration with others. Based on simple sound games, the form engages our spontaneous, natural voices in expressive monologues.

Brown Bag Lunches
Brown bag lunches are short classes where you can get away from your desk, enjoy your lunch and learn about a variety of fascinating business and health topics.
